Waterford School Murray Science Center

Education
40,000 sqft

The 2-story building houses six classrooms dedicated to biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, natural history, molecular biology, zoology, botany, biotech, and molecular biology. The facility features a looped geothermal system to heat and cool the building. The faculty collaborated to make this a learning opportunity for students, resulting in a glassed room to view the system's mechanics. To support understanding of the geothermal heat exchange system, the piping is left uncovered in the classroom ceilings and color-coded to explain the fluid movement.
